Cyient Shares Trade Higher on BSE; Subsidiary to Acquire Majority Stake in Kinetic Technologies

Cyient is currently trading at RS 1142.00 on the BSE, up by 3.60 points or 0.32 percent from its previous close of RS 1138.40.

The stock opened at RS 1157.60 and recorded a day’s high of RS 1157.60 and a low of RS 1134.00. A total of 10,304 shares have been traded so far during the session.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of RS 5, touched its 52-week high of RS 2099.90 on December 18, 2024, and a 52-week low of RS 1050.20 on April 7, 2025. Over the past one week, the scrip moved between a high of RS 1169.95 and a low of RS 1127.00. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at RS 12,672.32 crore.

Promoters hold a 23.28 percent stake in the company, while institutional investors and non-institutional investors hold 55.97 percent and 20.75 percent, respectively.

In a key development, Cyient’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Kinetic Technologies, a global leader in power management, high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. The acquisition is valued at up to USD 93 million. This strategic move is expected to create a scaled platform in the USD 40 billion-plus power semiconductor market and accelerate Cyient Semiconductors’ growth across data centers, electrification, automotive, networking, industrial automation, and the rapidly emerging edge AI compute segment.

The acquisition combines Cyient Semiconductors’ design expertise with Kinetic Technologies’ established portfolio of power conversion, display power, protection, and interface solutions. Backed by over 100 patents and strong proprietary technologies, Kinetic’s deep capabilities in power and protection architectures are expected to accelerate custom chip development and enable the delivery of differentiated, system-level solutions with improved performance, scalability, and cost efficiency for global customers.
