Tata Steel Stock Rises; Acquires Additional Stake in Subsidiary

Tata Steel is trading at RS 173.50, up by 0.80 points or 0.46% from its previous close of RS 172.70 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS 172.60 and recorded a high of RS 173.90 and a low of RS 171.85 so far, with 2,61,236 shares traded.

The BSE group 'A' stock, with a face value of RS 1, touched a 52-week high of RS 174.35 on 24-Sep-2025 and a 52-week low of RS 122.60 on 13-Jan-2025. During the past week, the scrip’s high and low were RS 174.35 and RS 170.40 respectively. The company’s current market capitalization stands at RS 2,15,402.03 crore.

Promoters hold 33.19% stake, while institutions and non-institutions own 43.49% and 22.83% respectively.

Tata Steel has also acquired an additional 457,71,14,428 equity shares of face value $0.1005 each, aggregating to $460 million (RS 4,054.66 crore), in its wholly owned foreign subsidiary T Steel Holdings Pte (TSHP). Post-acquisition, TSHP remains a wholly owned subsidiary.
