Rail Vikas Nigam Shares Gain; Signs JV Agreement with Texmaco Rail & Engineering

Rail Vikas Nigam is currently trading at RS. 317.60, up by 4.80 points or 1.53% from its previous closing of RS. 312.80 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS. 313.30 and recorded a high of RS. 318.10 and a low of RS. 313.25. A total of 339092 shares have been traded so far.

The BSE group 'A' stock, with a face value of RS. 10, touched a 52-week high of RS. 619.40 on September 2, 2024, and a 52-week low of RS. 295.25 on April 7, 2025. Over the past week, the stock recorded a high of RS. 334.40 and a low of RS. 311.40. The company’s current market capitalization stands at RS. 65844.93 crore.

Promoter holding in the company is 72.84%, while institutions hold 11.28% and non-institutions 15.88%.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has signed a Joint Venture (JV) Agreement with Texmaco Rail & Engineering to undertake projects in the railway and allied infrastructure sectors. A JV company will be incorporated subject to approval from the company’s Board of Directors and other statutory clearances, with RVNL holding 51% and Texmaco 49% stake.

The JV will focus on rolling stock, EPC projects, bidding & tenders, workshops & depots, along with expanding its geographical presence.

Rail Vikas Nigam operates as an extended arm of the Ministry of Railways, executing diverse railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, cable-stayed bridges, and institutional buildings.
