Tata Steel Gains Slightly; Acquires RS. 3104 Crore Worth Shares in Subsidiary TSHP

Tata Steel is currently trading at RS. 155.50, up by 0.50 points or 0.32% from its previous closing of RS. 155.00 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS. 156.10 and touched a high of RS. 156.10 and a low of RS. 154.00. So far, 281816 shares have been traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock with a face value of RS. 1 has recorded a 52-week high of RS. 170.20 on September 30, 2024, and a 52-week low of RS. 122.60 on January 13, 2025. Over the past week, the stock's high and low were RS. 162.55 and RS. 154.00 respectively. The company’s current market capitalization stands at RS. 193992.91 crore.

Promoters hold 33.19% stake in the company, while Institutions and Non-Institutions hold 43.49% and 22.83% respectively.

On August 26, 2025, Tata Steel acquired 353,23,38,309 equity shares of face value $0.1005 each, aggregating to $355 million (RS. 3104.03 crore), in its wholly-owned foreign subsidiary T Steel Holdings (TSHP). Following this acquisition, TSHP will remain a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
