The company has received approval for executing a Securities Subscription Agreement and Shareholders’ Agreement to acquire 76% of the fully diluted equity share capital and 100% of Non-Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares (NCRPS) of Pratiksha Women & Child Care Hospital, Guwahati. The 150-bed hospital currently has 100 operational beds, with an additional 50 beds expected to be functional within six months to establish pediatric super specialties.

For this acquisition, Rainbow Children’s Medicare will invest around RS. 129.96 crore for the 76% equity stake and RS. 41.04 crore for the NCRPS. The transaction is expected to close within 30 days, as approved by the board on August 11, 2025.

This acquisition will expand the company’s footprint in North-East India, strengthening its position as a leading provider of pediatric and women’s healthcare. With strong demographics, rising healthcare demand, higher birth rates, and increasing urbanization, Guwahati is seen as an ideal location for a regional healthcare hub. Integrating this facility will enable advanced referrals, super-specialty consultations, and access to higher-level care for complex pediatric and maternal cases in the region.
