Mahindra & Mahindra Gains Nearly 1%, Gets CCI Nod for 59% Stake in SML Isuzu

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently trading at RS. 3068.50, up by 28.15 points or 0.93% from its previous close of RS. 3040.35 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS. 3039.95 and touched an intraday high of RS. 3075.00 and a low of RS. 3032.30. A total of 11,198 shares have been traded so far.

Classified under the BSE group 'A' with a face value of RS. 5, the scrip hit a 52-week high of RS. 3276.30 on February 10, 2025, and a 52-week low of RS. 2360.45 on April 7, 2025. Over the past week, the stock moved between RS. 3075.00 and RS. 2935.00. The current market capitalization of the company stands at RS. 380706.35 crore.

Promoters hold an 18.45% stake in the company, while institutional investors own 68.15% and non-institutional investors hold 13.38%.

In a strategic move, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to acquire nearly 59% stake in commercial vehicle manufacturer SML Isuzu for RS. 555 crore.

This acquisition aligns with M&M’s capital allocation strategy aimed at investing in high-growth potential areas with strong competitive advantages and operational excellence.
