DCM Shriram Shares Edge Higher; Board Approves Acquisition of Hindusthan Speciality Chemicals

DCM Shriram is currently trading at RS. 1129.35, rising by 4.40 points or 0.39% from its previous close of RS. 1124.95 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS. 1159.95 and registered an intraday high and low of RS. 1159.95 and RS. 1087.20 respectively. A total of 5737 shares have been traded so far.

This BSE Group 'A' stock, with a face value of RS. 2, has touched a 52-week high of RS. 1370.00 on November 19, 2024, and a 52-week low of RS. 904.55 on March 4, 2025. Over the past week, the scrip's high and low stood at RS. 1159.95 and RS. 1063.85 respectively. The company's market capitalization is currently RS. 17621.48 crore.

Promoters hold a 66.52% stake in the company, while institutions and non-institutions hold 11.87% and 21.61% respectively.

In a major development, the board of directors of DCM Shriram has approved definitive agreements to acquire 100% equity of Hindusthan Speciality Chemicals, a company engaged in the Epoxy & Advanced Materials business in Bharuch, Gujarat. The acquisition, pending necessary regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed by September 2025.

DCM Shriram operates in energy-intensive and agri-related businesses and is the third-largest Chlor-Alkali manufacturer in India. The company also offers value-added UPVC window systems under the Fenesta™ brand.
