Meanwhile, NTPC Green Energy has signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company (CSPGCL) on March 10, 2025. The agreement aims to establish a Joint Venture Company (JVC) to develop, operate, and maintain a Renewable Energy Park, including Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Projects (UMREPP) and other projects in Chhattisgarh or other identified locations. The initiative will focus on solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects with a capacity of up to 2 GW, as well as the development of floating solar projects in reservoirs.
As per the agreement, NTPC Green Energy will hold a 74% stake in the JVC, while CSPGCL will own the remaining 26%.
