JSW Steel Gains 1.91% on BSE; Reports 12% Y-o-Y Growth in Crude Steel Production

JSW Steel is currently trading at RS 1030.50, rising by 19.35 points or 1.91% from its previous closing of RS 1011.15 on the BSE.

The stock opened at RS 1014.15 and recorded a high of RS 1030.50 and a low of RS 1009.65. So far, 24,844 shares have been traded on the counter.

The BSE Group 'A' stock, with a face value of RS 1, reached a 52-week high of RS 1063.35 on 4th October 2024 and a 52-week low of RS 762.00 on 14th March 2024. Over the last week, the stock's high and low stood at RS 1032.00 and RS 952.35, respectively. The company's market capitalization currently stands at RS 2,50,671.26 crore.

The promoter holding in the company is 44.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions hold 36.69% and 18.47%, respectively.

JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 24.07 lakh tonnes for February 2025, marking a 12% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth compared to 21.50 lakh tonnes in February 2024. Production from Indian operations stood at 23.32 lakh tonnes in February 2025, up 13% from 20.59 lakh tonnes in February 2024, with a capacity utilization of 93.5%. Meanwhile, JSW Steel USA - Ohio recorded a crude steel production of 0.75 lakh tonnes in February 2025.
