Power Grid Wins Three Major Transmission Projects
Power Grid Corporation has been declared the successful bidder under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding for three Inter-State Transmission System projects under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.
- First Project: Expansion of transformation capacity at the under-construction Sirohi substation in Rajasthan, along with 765kV D/C Transmission Lines across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
- Second Project: ICT augmentation at the existing Banaskantha (Raghanesda) Power Station (GIS) in Gujarat.

Third Project: Establishment of a new 765/400/220kV Kurnool IV Pooling Substation and expansion of transformation capacity at the existing Chittoor Substation in Andhra Pradesh. This project also includes the development of 765kV and 400kV D/C Transmission Lines in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
