Tata Power Subsidiary Signs MoU to Boost Solar Energy in Rajasthan
Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Discoms of Rajasthan, including Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JVVNL), Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam (AVVNL), and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JDVVNL). This collaboration aims to promote renewable energy and energy conservation in Rajasthan, especially through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijali Yojana (PMSG:MBY) in the residential sector.
The MoU outlines several initiatives to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar energy across Rajasthan. Under this partnership, TPREL and Rajasthan Discoms will launch joint campaigns to encourage solar adoption, providing affordable and clean energy solutions for residential consumers. Initially, the focus will be on Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Bikaner, with a statewide expansion planned later.
Additionally, the agreement includes exclusive pricing benefits and vendor training programs to ensure efficient solar panel installations, further strengthening the state's renewable energy capacity.
