VA Tech Wabag Stock Rises; Secures $14 Million Order from BAPCO

VA Tech Wabag is currently trading at Rs. 1288.75, up by 76.30 points or 6.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 1212.45 on the BSE.

The stock opened at Rs. 1247.90 and has touched a high of Rs. 1289.00 and a low of Rs. 1236.70 so far. A total of 5,388 shares have been traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock, with a face value of Rs. 2, reached a 52-week high of Rs. 1943.95 on 09-Dec-2024 and a 52-week low of Rs. 647.60 on 30-Jan-2024.

In the past week, the stock's high and low stood at Rs. 1439.60 and Rs. 1109.35, respectively. The company's market capitalization currently stands at Rs. 7773.80 crore.

Promoters hold 19.13% stake in the company, while institutional and non-institutional investors own 20.88% and 59.99%, respectively.

Meanwhile, VA Tech Wabag has secured an order worth $14 million (around Rs. 121 crore) from BAPCO Refining B.S.C (BAPCO). The contract involves operating an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWTP) in Bahrain for seven years.

This state-of-the-art IWTP treats 4,400 US gallons per minute (USGPM) of wastewater and utilizes advanced Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology, ensuring high treatment efficiency and compliance with stringent environmental and industrial standards.
