JSW Steel Stock Marginally Up, Reports Record Crude Steel Production in Q3FY25

JSW Steel's share price stands at ₹891.00, marking a modest gain of 0.03% (₹0.30) from its previous close of ₹890.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock opened at ₹890.80 and fluctuated between a high of ₹894.95 and a low of ₹880.45 during the session, with 10,801 shares traded.

The stock, part of the BSE Group 'A', has a face value of ₹1. It reached a 52-week high of ₹1,063.35 on October 4, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹762.00 on March 14, 2024. Over the past week, the stock's high and low were ₹915.00 and ₹880.45, respectively. The company's market capitalization currently stands at ₹2,17,743.22 crore.

Promoters hold 44.84% of the company, while institutions and non-institutional investors hold 36.71% and 18.46%, respectively.

In Q3FY25, JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 7.03 million tonnes, a 2% increase year-on-year from 6.87 million tonnes in Q3FY24 and a 4% rise quarter-on-quarter. Its Indian operations achieved a record-high quarterly crude steel production of 6.82 million tonnes, reflecting a 3% growth both QoQ and YoY. Capacity utilization for the quarter was 91%, excluding trial runs.

The production was briefly impacted by maintenance activities at a Dolvi blast furnace in October, which resumed normal operations by early November. Meanwhile, JSW Steel USA - Ohio recorded crude steel production of 0.21 million tonnes during Q3FY25.
