Power Mech Projects secured an order worth ₹186 crore from Jaiprakash Power Ventures (JPVL) for providing Field Operation and Maintenance services for the 2x660 MW Jaypee Nigrie Super Thermal Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh. The five-year contract runs from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029.
The monthly contract value for the first year is ₹3.10 crore, with subsequent escalation based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) applicable for the remaining four years.
Following the announcement, Power Mech Projects’ shares surged by 0.92% to ₹2535.20 on the BSE. The stock opened at ₹2575.05, hitting a high of ₹2586.65 and a low of ₹2530.05 during intraday trading. With a market cap of ₹8,054.09 crore, the company’s 52-week high and low stand at ₹3725.00 and ₹2054.95, respectively.
Promoters hold a 58.28% stake in the company, while institutions and non-institutions hold 28.21% and 13.50%, respectively.
