Himatsingka Seide Increases Investment in AMP Energy C&I Twenty Four

Himatsingka Seide’s stock price rose by 2.87%, currently trading at Rs. 164.95, marking an increase of 4.60 points from its previous close of Rs. 160.35 on the BSE. The stock opened at Rs. 160.05, reaching an intraday high of Rs. 169.35 and a low of Rs. 157.35, with 149,517 shares exchanged so far.

This Group 'B' stock, with a face value of Rs. 5, hit a 52-week high of Rs. 186.60 on December 14, 2023, and a low of Rs. 116.00 on March 13, 2024. Over the last week, it fluctuated between a high of Rs. 171.55 and a low of Rs. 156.75. The company's current market capitalization stands at Rs. 2,061.54 crore, with a promoter stake of 47.57% and holdings of 3.73% by institutions and 48.71% by non-institutional investors.

The company recently invested an additional Rs. 5.73 crore in AMP Energy C&I Twenty Four, acquiring 57,24,900 equity shares at Rs. 10 each. This adds to the 2,600 shares bought earlier, as announced on May 8, 2024. With this investment, Himatsingka Seide holds 47.30% equity in its associate company, AMP Energy.

This investment is aimed at securing sustainable energy to meet part of the company’s power requirements for its plants, helping reduce its carbon footprint. The project is part of the Group Captive Power Scheme.
