Adani Wilmar Shares Decline Despite Q2 Profit Turnaround

Adani Wilmar's shares traded at Rs. 323.85, marking a drop of 4.83% or 16.45 points from its previous close of Rs. 340.30 on the BSE. The stock opened at Rs. 336.90, with the highest and lowest intraday levels recorded at Rs. 336.90 and Rs. 322.20, respectively. A total of 364,674 shares changed hands in today's trading.

This group 'A' stock, with a face value of Rs. 1, reached a 52-week peak of Rs. 410 on December 6, 2023, and a low of Rs. 285.85 on November 20, 2023. Over the past week, the stock’s high and low were Rs. 344.60 and Rs. 310.05, respectively, with the company's current market cap standing at Rs. 42,278.55 crore.

For the quarter ending September 30, 2024 (Q2FY25), Adani Wilmar posted a net profit of Rs. 325.73 crore, reversing from a net loss of Rs. 87.04 crore in the same period last year. The company's total income surged by 19.65%, reaching Rs. 14,098.20 crore compared to Rs. 11,783.08 crore in the previous year.

On a consolidated basis, the company recorded a net profit of Rs. 311.02 crore for Q2FY25, compared to a net loss of Rs. 130.73 crore in the same quarter last year, with total income rising by 18.12% to Rs. 14,565.30 crore from Rs. 12,331.20 crore year-on-year.
