Oil India Signs Contract with Dolphin Drilling

Oil India is trading at Rs. 564.00, marking an increase of 9.00 points or 1.62% from its previous close of Rs. 555.00 on the BSE.

The stock opened at Rs. 564.25, reaching a high of Rs. 571.10 and a low of Rs. 561.30. So far, 55,210 shares have been traded.

This BSE group 'A' stock, with a face value of Rs. 10, hit a 52-week high of Rs. 652.50 on July 12, 2024, and a 52-week low of Rs. 170.73 on July 24, 2023. Over the past week, the stock's high was Rs. 624.30 and the low was Rs. 546.50. The company's current market cap is Rs. 90,276.73 crore.

Promoters hold 56.66% of the company's shares, while institutions and non-institutions hold 37.06% and 6.28%, respectively.

Oil India has entered into a contract with Dolphin Drilling, a leading offshore drilling contractor from Norway, for the 'Anchor Moored Semi-Submersible Drilling Unit Blackford Dolphin.' The agreement was signed on July 22, 2024, in Delhi.

The Blackford Dolphin will be used for drilling in the Andaman Offshore Blocks to carry out exploration activities.
