Hero MotoCorp gains on reporting 19% rise in total sales in February

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 4583.50, up by 79.10 points or 1.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 4504.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4590.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4598.30 and Rs. 4562.80 respectively. So far 970 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4979.95 on 12-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2246.75 on 28-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4598.30 and Rs. 4350.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 90052.75 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.44% and 8.80% respectively.

Hero MotoCorp has sold 468,410 units in February 2024. This translates into a robust 19% growth over the corresponding month (February 2023), when it had sold 394,460 units. Of the total sales in February 2024, the company sold 436,929 motorcycles and 31,481 scooters as against 371,854 motorcycles and 22,606 scooters sold in February 2023. Domestic sales stood at 445,257 units in February 2024, up from sales of 382,317 units in February last year. Besides, the company's exports increased to 23,153 units in February 2024 versus 12,143 units in February 2023.

The volumes in the month of February indicate the continuously improving consumer sentiments and the company expects the positive trend to continue in the coming months, on the back of favorable economic indicators. In line with strategy of growing the core and expanding premium product portfolio, the Company started the sales of its recently launched motorcycle -- Xtreme 125R and expanded its upper premium portfolio of 440cc motorcycles with the launch of Mavrick 440, deliveries of which are to begin in April 2024. The Company is in the process of scaling up the volumes of Harley-Davidson X440 and Mavrick 440, the first phase of which should be completed by the middle of this year.
