Primo Chemicals soars on starting commercial production of Caustic Soda Flakes

Primo Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 50.44, up by 1.43 points or 2.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.01 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 49.98 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.98 and Rs. 49.00 respectively. So far 127840 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 86.50 on 13-Dec-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.85 on 30-Nov-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 52.25 and Rs. 48.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1196.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.03% and 64.62% respectively.

Primo Chemicals has commenced the commercial production of Caustic Soda Flakes, at Naya Nangal, Punjab, with an installed capacity of 66,000 Ton Per Annum (TPA). The company has commenced commercial production on November 30, 2023.

Primo Chemicals has been promoted by the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (PSIDC), a wholly owned Punjab Government Company. The product range of the company includes Caustic Soda Lye, Caustic Soda Flakes, Liquid Chlorine, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrogen Gas.
